Bluebird Trail

After touring the visitor center at Makoshika State Park, the rain had stopped so we decided to hike the Bluebird Trail that starts in the same parking lot. This trail is not as slippery as the others we did this morning. 1 mile with about 75 ft of gain going up the hill seen across the grassland. This was a peaceful hike as we saw several bluebirds and no other people.
Views along the trail

There are quite a few prickly pear in bloom along this trail.
