Longhorn Cavern State Park Trails

After our cave tour at Longhorn Cavern State Park, we walked some of the trails, going up Wildflower Walk to Backbone Ridge, back to the visitor center, up Wildflower Ridge and the Karst Discovery Trail, returning via Wildflower Walk, like a giant figure 8 (about 1.6 miles).

Lots of bluebonnets in bloom.

The Wildflower Walk goes through a wildflower meadow.


Parts of the trail were very wet after this mornings thunderstorm.

Longhorn Cavern

We drove to Longhorn Cavern State Park in Central Texas to do the Cave Tour, 90 minutes and 1.1 mile round trip. We waited our the worst of a thunderstorm before starting the tour
The entrance is through a sinkhole.
