Wheeler Peak Scenic Drive Hike

Earlier in the week, the Wheeler Peak Scenic Drive had been open to cars up to the Mather Overlook at 9,200 ft, but with the impending snow storm, the road was closed to Osceola Ditch at 8,400 ft. We decided to hike up the road from where it was closed to Mather Overlook. This was about 4 miles round trip with 800 ft of gain.

At this elevation, the only wildflowers I saw in bloom were some small paintbrush.
