Juniper Draw Loop, Cathedral Gorge State Park

We stopped at Cathedral Gorge State Park to do a short hike as we were driving up Hwy 93 in Nevada this morning. We did the Juniper Draw Loop Trail, which is 4 mile loop with minimal elevation change.
We started by the campground and hiked across to the day use area.
At the day use area, is a place called Cathedral Caves. This is a fun place to explore

there are several openings in these huge rock formations

in some areas, pebbles were embedded in the rocks
lot of detail
looking across the gorge to the other side

as we continued hiking along the trail, we enjoyed the different formations here

a reminder to stay on the trail to protect the vegetation

Lots of wildflowers were in bloom, here, mormon tea

The detail within the rock formations is amazing, these were only a few inches tall

lots of blue sage in bloom

vetch
cliffrose maybe
more formations coming back down the other side of the gorge
yucca

white pepper
a free standing formation

nearing the end of the loop
some of the other wildflowers we saw in bloom along the trail:
