Petroglyph, Double Arch and Box Springs Canyons

Near Black Dragon Wash are three small canyons sharing a parking area. (This is north of I-70, east of Green River, Utah).
We started on the trail that leads to Petroglyph and Double Arch Canyons. San Rafael Reef in the background

 Some water in the wash

We took the left fork in the trail to Petroglyph Canyon first, the rock art is on the right side of the canyon.

hiking between Petroglyph and Double Arch Canyons, there are lots of great rock formations.

Entering Double Arch Canyon, the arch is on the upper right of the rock wall on the left

at the end of Double Arch Canyon
 close up of Double Arch
there was water in Double Arch Canyon
enjoying the rock formations as we headed back to the parking area

From the parking area, another trail leads to Box Spring Canyon
This a very green canyon with water

some animal bones alongside the trail
 holes in the rock walls
The trail along the bottom of the canyon was quite overgrown and had lots of water, so we found a side trail heading up the side of the south wall
Here we had a view into the end of Box Spring Canyon, but could not continue.
