Window Loop in Joshua Tree National Park

 We drove out to Joshua Tree National Park to hike the Window Loop Trail.
We found the trail junctions well signed.

 There were many wildflowers in bloom here in in the high desert.

Some of the Joshua Trees had fresh blooms on them.

I found the "seams" in some of the boulders to be striking in appearance.








 We hiked around and through some large boulder fields.

 The nolina were in bloom,
 as well as some of the cacti,
 and other flowers.

 Up high in this rocky ridge is a window.
 (zoom) from this angle, the window looks like a thunderbird.

















We finished the hike, before the storm rolled in.
 We saw a great horned toad lizard,
and a yellow velvet ant!
