For our second short hike in the Mono Basin National Forest Scenic Area today we combined the South Tufa Loop with the trail over to Navy Beach and back, this was abut 2 miles. The tufa towers are fascinating.
Add a back drop of snow capped Sierra Mountains and
along the shore of Mono Lake, makes for a gorgeous experience.
We spotted a couple of osprey nests out on some of the tufas.

The short walk to Navy Beach had beautiful views of Mono Lake, and
behind us where the Tufa Towers and the Sierra Mountains.
