We drove up Kyle Canyon Road northwest of Las Vegas to the Cathedral Rock Trailhead. The trail up to Cathedral Rock is 3 miles round trip with 1,000 ft of gain going up to 8,600 ft. View of Cathedral Rock near the trailhead.
Early on the trail we had a great view of nearby Echo Cliff.

A short side trail about 1/2 way up led to this snow melt made waterfall.

We saw some wildflowers along this trail.

During our lunch break on top of Cathedral Peak we heart distant thunder and headed back down the trail.
