We did a shuttle hike at Hex Mountain, starting at the south end of the Sasse Ridge Trail off of FR 4305-188 over Hex and sown the winter route to the main road. Our route was 6.5 miles with 1.400 ft of gain and 2.600 ft of load. We saw lots of wildflowers and only 3 other hikers. View of Cle Elum Lake about a mile or so along the Sasse Ridge Trail.
We had many views of Cle Elum Lake along this route.
We enjoyed the many wildflowers in bloom along the trail.
Part of this trail is shared with off road motorcyclists. Looking up to Hex Mountain
The higher we hiked, the more we could see Mt Rainier to the west.
