Mount Ellinor

We drove up to the Upper Mount Ellinor Trailhead in the south Olympics to hike up Mt Ellinor, 3.3 miles round trip with 2,400 ft of gain. This trail is steep!
We would hike in and out of the clouds, hopping for blue sky when we reached the top.
We were happy to see that there were still some wildflowers in bloom, here thistle, paintbrush, harebells and pasqueflower seed heads.
Going up the steps through the scree field.

The clouds kept us from seeing the distant volcanos, but we enjoyed the cloudy views of Mt Washington and the wildflowers today.
