3 Burroughs

We drove up to Sunrise at Mt Rainier National Park today to hike to the Three Burroughs Mountains, 9.5 miles with 2,400 ft of overall gain. It was a bit hazy when we started, but after a short sprinkle or rain, the air cleared and we would have lovely views of Mt Rainier as the clouds moved around the mountain. We started by hiking up the Sunrise Rim Trail towards First Burroughs. There were very few hikers out on the trail today.
We were happy to see there were still some wildflowers in bloom.
One of two grouse we saw by the trail.

Another view from First Burroughs, love seeing blue sky after many days of haze.
Looking towards Mt Fremont to the north, we saw a herd of mountain boats below.

As we headed down the trail from Third Burroughs, Mt Rainier began emerging from the clouds.
