Sauk Mountain

We drove out on Hwy 2 about 7 miles east of Concrete to hike up to Sauk Mountain, a 4.2 mile round trip hike with 1,200 ft of gain.
View of Sauk Mountain from near the beginning of the trail.

Panoramic view from part way up the trail:

a bit further up the trail, looking down on the switchback trail and the Skagit River

About 1.4 miles the trail goes around the east side of Sauk Mountain with view towards the North Cascades

Pano from higher up Sauk Mountain

The trail to the top is on the northeast side of the mouton

Pano to the south of Sauk Mountain

 Looking down on Sauk Lake

Pano to the north of Sauk Mountain

the clouds rose enough for us to see the base of Mt Baker
