Cape Perpetua

We drove down to Cape Perpetua on the Oregon Coast to see some interesting geological features: Devil's Churn, Thor's Well and the Spouting Horn. We did a 2 mile loop by starting at the Visitor Center then along the upper trail to Devil's Churn. View of the beach
Devil's Churn from the upper trail
Devil's Churn from the lower trail
We then walked south along the beach

 Interesting coastline
Thor's Well was fascinating. Before high tide, the water fills up this hole and then drains around the sides of the hole.

Just south of Thor's Well is the Spouting Horn. Near high tide, water is forced into the hole and creates the spout.
