Cape Falcon and Short Sand Beach

We hiked along Cape Falcon and down to Short Sand Beach at Oswald West State Park. We hiked about 8.25 miles with 850 ft of overall elevation gain. This hike follows the contours of Cape Falcon and is mostly in the forest.
The trail goes north of Short Sand Beach
View to the south through the trees
A short side trail leads out to a point on Cape Falcon, the bushes along this trail are very high

Wide angle shot from the overlook
We returned to the main trail and hiked further north and came to another overlook:

As we continued further north on the trail, it became muddier.

We continued until we reached a point where we could see the coastline to the north of Cape Falcon.

There were some large fungi in the forest
Wide angle shot of Short Sand Beach, there are several trails to this beach.
