We drove up to the Molas Trail near Molas Pass to hike the portion of the Colorado Trail from near Molas Pass down to the bridge on the Animus River in the Weminuche Wilderness, San Juan National Forest. This was 7.6 miles round trip with 1,800 ' loss/gain. We only saw 9 other hikers on this trail today. View to the east on the upper portion of the trail.
View to the west where we joined the Colorado Trail.
The aspen trees were golden!
