Shi Shi Beach to the Point of Arches

I drove out to the Makah Indian Reservation to hike to Shi Shi Beach and the Point of Arches. This is an 8 mile round trip hike with a 200 ft descent down to the beach. I only saw 10 other hikers/backpackers this morning on a gorgeous spring low tide day. The first 1.7 miles in through the forest on tribal land. The trail is part dirt and part board walk.
There are several very muddy sections along the trail.

Near the end of the trail, there are a couple of places to view the ocean.

The trail enters Olympic National Park at the end of the forest trail and then goes down some stairs and switchbacks and through the woods for about 0.3 miles to the beach.

The tide was going out as I hiked along the beach, exposing lots of rocks (looking north),

I didn't see anyone else on the beach until I saw a backpacker down near the point of arches. Here looking back at only my footprints on the beach.

Views getting nearer to the point of arches.

Almost to the Point of Arches, some of the sea stacks reflecting in the water.

Low tide was -1.8, a great day for tide pool exploring and being able to get out to some of the sea stacks in the Point of Arches.

Views from inside some of the arches in the sea stacks.
