Pyramid Mountain

We drove up to the north shore of Lake Crescent to hike up Pyramid Mountain in Olympic National Park, 7 miles round trip with 2,500 ft of gain. We only saw 3 other hikers on the trail. This trail goes through a lovely forest up the south slope of Pyramid Mountain.

The trail crossed 3 creek beds, two had water running in them.
After about 2 miles, the trail crosses a large slide area.

Moss covered boulders and trees along the trail

The only downed tree that required some effort to cross.

View of Lake Crescent near the end of the trail.

A short ways down the trail from the top of Pyramid Mountain is a short spur trail to this lovely view of Lake Crescent.
