We drove up the Hamma Hamma Road on the west side of Hood Canal to hike up to Lena Lake, 6.3 miles round trip with 1,300 ft of gain. The hike is in a beautiful forest. I was surprised to see the water gone from a creek I had crossed only 10 days ago.
And Lena Creek that had been gushing above ground 10 days ago, was a subterranean creek at this spot again.
