We drove up to Sunrise at Mt Rainier National Park to hike to Dege Peak this morning. This is a 4 mile round trip hike with 700 ft of overall gain. There are views throughout the hike! View from the trail heading up to Sourdough Ridge.
At the Sourdough Ridge Trail we turned to the left towards Dege Peak to the east.
We would keep turning around to enjoy the views of Mt Rainier to the west.

Below us is Clover Lake and the Palisades Lakes Trail we hike last Friday on a cloudy day.
We saw several marmots below us and this pika.Pano to the south from Dege Peak:
It was wonderful to hike into this view of Mt Rainier on our way back to Sunrise.
We saw lots of pasqueflower seed heads along the trail.There were a few wildflowers along the trail this morning:
