Black Sands Beach on the South End of the Lost Coast

After hiking a short ways along the north end of the Lost Coast in the King Range Wilderness this morning, we decided to drive down to the south end of the Lost Coast and walk along Black Sands Beach. We saw a fox crossing the parking lot soon after we arrived. We did a 2 mile walk along the beach this afternoon.
The far end of Humboldt Creek, it doesn't quite make it all the way to the Pacific Ocean.

Watching the waves come in and out.

We saw some pelicans flying past.
Rocky cliffs along the southern end of Black Sands Beach
There are some large sea rocks just south of Black Sands Beach.

We had fun watching the surf crash into these large sea rocks.
