Mankato Mtn via the Shedroof Divide Trail

We drove up Sullivan Creek Road to Pass Creek Pass to hike up the Shedroof Divide Trail from the south end to Mankato Mountain. This was an 7 mile round trip hike with 1,600 ft overall gain. We didn't see any people on this hike. The trailhead sign was hard to see off the road in the bushes.

We had to crawl under this downed tree early on the trail.

Lots of fall colors on this trail, Round Top Mountain.
Lots of huckleberry bushes full of berries along the trail.
Along with huckleberries come bears, we saw some very fresh bear scat.

This trail has lots of open views with a few short forest sections.
Mankato Mountain ahead on this ridge trail.
We found a small boot track leading up to the top of Mankato Mtn (6,590 ft)
Views from Mankato Mountain:

We enjoyed eating huckleberries and the fall colors as we hiked back.

some zoom photos of the mountain ridges around us
