Elk Creek Falls and Mill Pond Flood Plain Trail

We hiked two trails in the Mill Pond Area in the Colville National Forest: Elk Creek Falls (2.1 miles) and the Flood Plain Trail (about 0.9 miles) with a combined elevation gain of 550 ft. We didn't see any other people on either of these hikes today.
The Elk Creek Loop Trail started across the road and goes up through the forest.
We saw some queen's cup with their beautiful blue berries.
In a couple of places along the trail we had views down towards the flood plain area at Mill Pond.
In the far distance we could see part of Sullivan Lake.
Nice bridge crossing at Elk Creek Falls.
Elk Creek Falls drops 30 ft

We also so snow berries and

some type of asters in bloom.

A short ways before returning to the trailhead, we were able to take a trail down to the Mill Pond Historic Site and decided to go on the Flood  Plain Trail. Sullivan Creek

We saw daisies and Indian Blanket in bloom.

We could see the fire lookout on Sullivan Mountain.

Bridge that goes across Sullivan Creek where the Mill was once located.
Looking down at the site of the old mill from the bridge.
