Driving south on Idaho 75, we found blue sky near Galena Pass. We stopped at Galena Lodge and hiked two loop trails with a short connecting trail: Galena View Loop and Pioneer Cemetery Loop for 4.9 miles and 440 ft of overall gain. These trails are multi-use. We saw 2 other hikers and 2 bikers along these two loops today.

Near the beginning of the Pioneer Cemetery Loop Trail is the Galena Pioneer Cemetery .
One of the graves is of the founder of the first hotel here.
No idea who lies in the other grave in this cemetery.

and a very tall pine drop.
Most of the wildflowers had gone to seed.
