Paria Rimrocks Toadstool Trail

We stopped on US 89 in southern Utah to hike the Paria Rimrocks Toadstool Trail. This is a short 1.6 mile rt with only 100 ft in elevation gain to an area of unusual rock formations called Toadstools. Beautiful!
 The trailhead is right off the hwy and begins in a wash.

 The canyon walls and rimrocks are very colorful.









 We saw many wildflowers in bloom in this desert landscape

 There is a short scramble up to the area with toadstools
 The first area has red toadstools
and some red and white toadstools

 The "trail" turns towards the west

 to an area with more white rocks and

white toadstools






This area seems like a scene from a Sci-fi movie









We went up the rocks to check out the views
