Procession Panel Lower Butler Wash

Our third hike along the Lower Butler Wash in Bears Ears National Monument was to the Procession Panel. There were several descriptions on how to reach Procession Panel, we ended up making a loop trail of about 3 miles and 500 ft of gain.
We hiked down into and crossed Butler Wash heading to Combs Ridge in the west.
We followed one of the gulches up towards the area of the "split rock" on Combs Ridge
There is lots of trees, shrubs and grass in this high desert.

We followed the wash up to the area north of the "split rock"
Here is the lowest natural crossing of Combs Ridge, thought to be a route of the ancestral Pueblo. We continued up on the north side of this area

From up on this portion of Combs Ridge we could see for miles,

we saw some of the large rock formations in Monument Valley to the southwest
a few petroglyphs before the panel
