We had a fun shuttle hike in Joshua Tree National Park. We started at Keys View, hiked up to Inspiration Point and hiked cross country to Fan Canyon Overlook, then took the Fan Canyon Overlook Trail back to Juniper Flats. This was a 9 mile hike with about 500 ft of overall gain.
We saw a coyote on the run.
Here we are heading up to Inspiration Point, in the far distance are Mt San Jacinto and Mt San Gorgonio to the west.

There were some very tall nolina in bloom.

We saw a bird fly out of this cholla
inside was a nest with 4 birds eggs
This section had a lot of small yellow poppies along the trail.
