We drove up to the SW corner of Tonto National Forest, on the north side of New River to hike up to the Cline Creek Ruins. Our route was 4.7 miles round trip with 600 ft of gain. We didn't see anyone else out on the trail this morning, but did hear coyotes howling all around us in the distance. We started out on a jeep road going through a forest of cholla.
After awhile, we could see the small peak in the distance where the ruins are located.
The trail goes up on the west side of the peak, lots of lovely cacti here.
Getting closer, the ruins are located on the north slope of this peak, also on and around the peak.

Some ruins below from where we first saw ruins on the north side.
We ended up taking a different route down, further to the north from where we went up.
