Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge

We visited the Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge and hiked up to Mt Baldy and did the Rich Guadagno Loop and the Moffitte Morgan Loop for about 5 miles with 300 ft of overall gain This was a beautiful place to walk today.
The trail started through a wildflower meadow filled with flax and other wildflowers: Nelson's Checkermallow, Death Camas, Shortspur Seablush,, Tolmie's Mariposa Lily, Ookow, Lupine, Vetch and more.
The colors were beautiful!
View for Mt Baldy (410') looking towards the duck ponds (South Slough Pond and Letteken Ponds)
The loop continued up through an oak forest.
The trees and foliage were thick with lots of moss and ferns.

We continued down towards Moffitte Marsh, here the parsnip grew taller than us.
Moffitte Marsh
lots of cattails
Morgan Lake, where we watched a flock of geese land on the water
lots of daisies growing up this hill

We saw many birds including an American Goldfinch and several hawks. Also this brown songbird and
