Trail of Ten Falls

I've been wanting to do this hike, and with all the recent rain to increase the falls, I joined a group of hikers today at Silver Falls State Park east of Salem Oregon. There are several trails here, we choose the Trail of Ten Falls a 7 mile loop hike with about 1,300 ft of elevation gain/loss.
We started at the South Falls Lodge and took the Rim Trail through a beautiful forest.
After 0.9 miles, we reached the Winter Trail and hiked a short ways down to view Winter Falls (134 ft). We then returned back up to the Rim Trail to hike 1 mile to the North Falls Trailhead.

We hiked the 0.3 mile spur trail to Upper North Falls (65 ft) and back.
`
From the North Falls trailhead, we took the Canyon Trail down to North Falls (136 ft)
The Canyon Trail goes behind the falls

North Falls from the trail on the other side.
We continued on the Canyon Trail for about a mile

to Twin Falls (31 ft) there was so much water, that the falls were no longer separated.

There was lots of water flowing down into the canyon.

About 0.4 mile further down leads to the spur to Middle North Falls (106 ft)
The spur trail led behind the falls, where there was lots of water flowing! It was deafening!!!
We saw a rainbow near the bottom of the falls

Further along the Canyon Trail, there was a nice view looking back at Middle North Falls.

The next 3 falls were within 0.3 mile from each other.

 Drake Falls (27 ft)

A short spur to Double Falls (178 ft)
and Lower North Falls (30 ft)
It would be a little over a mile to reach the next "named" falls, but saw several falls that disappear by summertime.

a very pleasant walk

 Lower South Falls (93 ft)

The trail that goes behind Lower South Falls is very narrow against the rocky canyon wall and very wet!
Lower South Falls viewed from the stairs going up the canyon on the other side.

Another mile leads to South Falls (177 ft), the trail splits here. You can cross the bridge to the other side without going behind the falls,

or you can take the trail that leads behind the falls.

We were soon at the top of South Falls and the completion of the loop trail.
