Eagle Lake, Desolation Wilderness

Another short hike as we take a break from a long road trip. We stopped along the south end of Lake Tahoe to hike to Eagle Lake olong the Eagle Falls Trail through the Desolation Wilderness. Our hike was 2 miles round trip with 430 ft of gain.
The Eastern Sierras are beautiful
The first half of the hike up to the lake had a steady gain going up a rocky trail
About halfway up, the trail flattened out for a bit and we had a view of Lake Tahoe below

Love the rocky Sierra Peaks
First view of Eagle Lake

We decided to hike around to the east shore of Eagle Lake, there was some nice fall colors beginning to show.

Pano from the east shore of Eagle Lake:

Great reflections in the lake today
