Teneriffe Falls Winter Hike

We decided to hike up to Teneriffe Falls in North Bend today. This is a 6 mile hike with 1,420 ft in elevation gain. The first 2 miles is an easy walk.
The last mile is over rocky terrain and gains 770 feet in one mile.
This is a nice second growth forest with lots of moss, ferns and large boulders.
A glimpse of the creek along the trail.
The trail steeps as it climbs up to the falls.
I love the mossy rocks along the creek.
Lots of variety to the shades of green.
We did get some views of North Bend and the Snoqualmie River through the trees.
 Lower Teneriffe Falls
 Upper Teneriffe Falls
We decided not to head up to the summit of Mount Teneriffe in the heavy rain today, but to enjoy this trip to the falls. We had some moments of clearing skies followed by hail and heavy rain.
During one of the clearings, we were able to see the mountains across the valley.
