Nice conditioning hike in the winter. 8 miles rt with 3,200 ft of elevation gain.
This hike is in the woods, but they are nice woods. I love the moss hanging from the branches.
Some morning fog, before it started to lightly rain,
and then snow. I think we ran into snow on the trail about 2-1/2 miles up the trail.
The snow got deeper, the higher we went.
Almost to the top, this last bit was a bit slippery.
Not much of a view, but so happy to be outside and hiking!
This is a very popular trail, so there were lots of gray jays hanging around.
They would dive in, even if it was only a small crumb that fell.
