Wallace Falls Winter Hike

Today we drove up to Hwy 2 to do 2 hikes (ended up adding a third in Duvall). First was to Wallace Falls State Park at Gold Bar. This is a 5.6 mile rt hike with 1,300 ft of elevation gain. I found this map on a sign after we had hiked about 1/2 way up the trail.

Great quote near the beginning of the hike.

 On of several bridge crossings.
There is a very short side trail to Small Falls.
another bridge crossing in the beautiful forest
 nice hidey hole
 stepping stone plant

 Loved this old stump!
wide angle shot of Lower Wallace Falls (middle falls in the far back) this is about 2 miles up the trail
continuing to walk in the forest
 Middle Wallace Falls
side view of Middle Wallace Falls
 view across the valley
I think this is a view of the top of Middle Wallace Falls
 Upper Wallace Falls
Good hiking friends make the journey fun!

Wallace Creek at one of the bridge crossings

back near the trailhead we found this sign and the mountains to the east had come out of the clouds
