Cathedral Rock

We drove up the Cle Elum Valley Road to the Cathedral Pass Trailhead to hike up towards Cathedral Rock and part way along the Peggy's Pond Trail to get a good view of Deep Lake and Mount Daniel. About 9.5 miles round trip with 2,400 gain. The largest field of flowers we saw was at the parking area and trailhead. Cathedral Rock is behind those trees.
Easy water crossing at the trailhead

By this creek were many monkey flowers we some speedwell.

We found a few ripe blueberries as the trail went up to the Lake.

There were fleabane, buttercup and lupine blooming in the meadow.

Across this pond and on the other side of the valley, we could see Granite Mountain, which is by Robin Lakes.

Views of Deep Lake below, so gorgeous! In the far distance, we saw a hazy Mt Rainier.

We continued along the trail until I wasn't comfortable with the combination of scrambling and exposure. Heading back towards the PCT
On our hike back on the Cathedral Pass Trail, we could see a distant Mount Stuart through the trees.
