Memaloose Hills

We drove down to the Eastern Columbia Gorge this afternoon and found a break in the rainstorm and decided to do a short hike at Memaloose Hills. We did 2.3 miles with 280 ft of gain. There were no other people on this trail while we were here. View of the Columbia River from Memaloose Overlook at the parking area.

Balsamroot is beginning to bloom.

We saw many Larkspur in bloom.

So nice to have the trail to ourselves.

Instead of going up Chatfield Hill, we turned off at Wetland Spring to return.
