Backdoor to Lillian Lake, Rampart Lakes and Lila Lake

We drove up the forest roads east of Gold Creek Pond to hike up to Rampart Lakes and over to Lila Lake from the backdoor trail to Lillian Lake. This was about 8.75 miles with 2,825 ft gain.
We saw a bit of fall color on this hike today.
The trail to Lillian Lake is very steep.

The trail goes around Lilian Lake and then up on to the ridge on the right.

The trail descends a short ways to pass this pond, then continues up Rampart Ridge
some pretty fall colors along the ridge
nice views of nearby peaks as we continue along the ridge.
Trail down to Rampart Lakes was quite snowy in the morning

It was an interesting mixture of fall and winter on the hike today.

From Rampart Lakes, we hiked over to Lila Lake, here the trail overlooks Rachel Lake below.
