Klahhane Ridge Trail

We drove up to Hurricane Ridge this morning to hike the Klahhane Ridge Trail, about 7.3 miles round trip with 1.700 ft of overall gain. The views are gorgeous from the parking area at Hurricane Ridge. It was sad to see the remains of the Visitor Center after a fire destroyed it earlier in the year.
Marmot seen in the meadow below the parking area.
zoom of Mt Olympus

Lupine was one of many wildflowers we saw in bloom along the trail today.

We also saw lots of harebells and various yellow flowers in the sunflower/aster family.

View of Mt Angeles and Klahhane Ridge to the east from near the beginning of the trail.

Shortly before Sunrise Point, we saw many deer including this buck and doe.

From further along the trail. looking back to the west of Hurricane Ridge and a distant Mt Olympus.

View to the northwest of Hurricane Hill

Getting closer towards Mt Angeles.

View towards the west as we head up the switchbacks on Klahhane Ridge.

We enjoyed the views and
the wildflowers along the slopes.

Continuing up the switchbacks,

and the views from where our trail began back at Hurricane Ridge.

View of Mt Angeles near the top of the Klahhane Ridge Trail.

We found lots of Olympic bellflowers in bloom up on Klahhane Ridge.

And we continued to enjoy the views all around us as we returned towards Hurricane Ridge, here looking back at Mt Angeles and Klahhane Ridge.

WE saw lots of tiger lilies in bloom along most of the trail.

Deer walking ahead of us on the way to Sunrise Point.
