Box Canyon of the Cowlitz

For our last stop at Mt Rainier National Park today, we did the short 0.3 mile loop hike of Box Canyon of the Cowlitz River. The trail starts across the road from the parking area. View of the trail (by the wooden fence) above Box Canyon.

From the view area at the interpretive area, we could not see the Cowlitz River down in Box Canyon, but had this nice view looking back to the road bridge over Box Canyon.
