We drove to the Tucquala Meadows Trailhead at the end of FSR 4330to backpack up to Tuck and Robin Lakes in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. Overall a 16 mile round trip hike with 4,100' of gain. On this warm sunny day, we were glad to start out in the forest. On the first day, we hiked 5 miles to Tuck Lake to set up camp for 2 nights.
We enjoyed the wildflowers that were blooming in the forest and in the meadows. The first 3 miles are mostly flat.
There were several creeks across the trail that were easily crossed.
Up here were some nice views looking back down to Hyas Lake and over to Cathedral Rock, Mt Daniel and Hinman Mountain.
We found a nice campsite close to where we could walk a short distance to relax and enjoy this view.
On the second day, we left our camp set up and took lighter packs to spend the day up at Robin Lakes. We had this gorgeous view as we made our way around Tuck Lake.
It is only a mile to reach the saddle above Robin Lakes, but it is a steep route with some scrambling.
Nice open views as we get close to the saddle above Robbin Lakes, here looking back down on Tuck Lake.
We took a short break by these rocks on the lake shore. After our break, we explored the area, heading up towards Granite Peak on the other side of the basin.
Beauty surrounded us everywhere we looked

more exploring around Robin Lakes
Our third and last day was leaving Tuck Lake and returning back to the trailhead. Gorgeous morning and view to start our hike!
