Spray Park

We drove up to Mowich Lake at Mt Rainier National Park to hike up to Spray Park and part way up the route to Echo Rock. Overall, we hiked 9.4 miles with 2,340' gain. Love hikes where we see wildflowers blooming at the trailhead!

After 2.6 miles and going up some switchbacks, we left the forest and had this lovely view!

field full of heather and Rainier magenta paintbrush
The trail then goes through a short forest section with some peek-a-boo views of Mt Rainier

The trail then enters Spray Park where we soon saw a deer.

About 6,400' on the trail, there is a boot path that goes up towards Echo Rock (on the left) we went up this boot path for about 0.7 miles for our lunch break.
There were lots of wildflowers here also.
Lots of Rainier magenta paintbrush

as we were returning to the main trail, we had a good view to the north, we could see Glacier Peak, Mt Stuart and the Enchantment Peaks to the northeast.
loved walking through Spray Park again on our way out

We saw a marmot eating the wildflowers

We took a short side trail to view one of the tarns in Spray Park
