Kachess Ridge

We drove to Easton, off of I-90 to hike the Kachess Ridge Trail. Our hike was about 6 miles with 2,400 ft of gain.
We took a side trail near the parking area to view this waterfall on Silver Creek.
The first part of the trail is the woods, then follows up on the side of the ridge. We saw lots of wildflowers in bloom.

Larkspur lining the side of the trail.
Paint brush and mountain views to the south.
This was a steep trail, but we took our time and enjoyed the wildflowers, here balsalmroot and penstemon.
Lake Easton in the distance below.
Near the beacon, we could look down on the south end of Kachess Lake.

Side trail along the ridge, balsamroot on one side of the trail and a large patch of glacier lilies on the other side.
Another view down to Kachess Lake.
We took the Beacon Spur Trail down, there was snow and blowdowns on this side.
