Kendall Knob Snowshoe

Drove up to Snoqualmie Pass to snowshoe up to Kendall Knob. We parked at the SnoPark across I-90 from Hyak. This was 8 miles round trip with 1,800 ft of gain.
The route is a closed forest road that crosses a creek on a bridge at the beginning of the road. View downstream
view upstream
small water flow with lots of icicles part way up the trail
We were the first ones to start up the road and broke trail in the fresh snow until a skier past us about 1.5 mile up the road
Looking across to the ski area at the summit
small stream further up the trail
Kendall Peaks come in to view

To the left are the Kendall Lakes, continuing a short distance ahead and to the right leads to Kendall Knob

Was cloudy when we first arrived at Kendall Knob
Gray joys joined us as we stopped for a lunch break.

Looking across Gold Creek Valley, Rampart Ridge to the left, Gold Creek Pond and Keechelus Lake below

more blue skies as we headed back down the trail
