Little Si

We were going to hike up to Tenerife Falls this morning, but the parking lot was closed, so we opted to hike up nearby Little Si. This was 3.7 miles round trip with 1,300 ft of gain.
This was my first time on this trail and it is beautiful in the snow.
some snowy boulders
About 0.2 miles up the trail there was this view spot overlooking North Bend. Nice view of snowy trees on this cloudy day.
Once we passed the Boulder Garden Loop, we were hiking on fresh snow.
Crossed a small stream that runs under the trail.
Gorgeous boulder in the forest
icicles on the boulders
lovely little tree among the towering trees
this small tree appeared lacy with the light covering of snow on it
View of Mt Si from near the top of Little Si
View of a cloudy Mt Si from the top of Little Si
View overlooking North Bend from the top of Little Si
Large bird soaring overhead
enjoyed the snowy forest on the hike back down, here the snow covered the downed trees with the moss exposed underneath

a bit of color in the black and white forest today
