Skyline Lake Snow Hike

We drove up to Stevens Pass to hike up to Skyline Lake, a 2.5 mile round trip hike with 1,050 feet of gain. We carried our snowshoes, but did not need to wear them as the way up was well packed down.
The closed road was beautiful in the fresh snow.
The sun played hide and seek this morning.
Although the snow was well packed down, we only saw a few people on the way up and had the lake to ourselves. We saw many people heading up as we were going back down.
Wide angle of a cloudy Skyline Lake. We hiked around the lake before heading back down the trail.
There were lots of gray jays hanging out by the lake.

We had a very brief view of the mountains this morning.
Love getting out in fresh snow!!!
