High Rock Lookout

We drove to the High Rock Trailhead south of Ashford and Mt Rainier National Park to hike up to the lookout, 3.2 miles round trip with 1,365 ft of gain.
View of High Rock and the lookout on top from the forest road.
About 0.7 mile up the trail is a wooden bench (there is another one about 0.2 mile further up the trail).
From the bench there is a view between the trees of the lookout on top of High Rock.
Further up the trail we had a nice view of Mt Adams.
And a quick view of Mt Rainier.
The last bit up, is steep on bare side of High Rock.

There is no clear path, you make your way up.
View of the lookout from the west side.

Pano from the lookout to the east: Mt Rainier, the Goat Rocks, Mt Adams, Mt Hood and Mt St Helens.
Pano from the lookout to the west: Mt St Helens, Sawtooth Ridge and Mt Rainier.

It was a steep descent from the lookout back to the trail, but the view was spectacular!
