Snow Mountain Ranch Spring Hike

 Went to Eastern Washington, near Yakima, to enjoy the wildflowers at Snow Mountain Ranch. There are several interconnected trails here, we did 6.7 miles with 1,140 ft of elevation gain.

The trails were well signed.

There were lots of early wild flowers in bloom.


















The balsam root is beginning to show.













There were many fields filled with different yellow flowers

There were also fields of purple grass widows and pansies.

Up on the ridge we could see Mt Adams and a cloud covered Mt Rainier to the west.

 Some fields were of mixed yellow and purple wildflowers.












So nice to see spring blooms!

 There were also dried shrubs covered in lichen







 and trees by the river showing their new spring leaves.
