Mount Townsend via the Little Quilcene Trail

We drove to the Little Quilcene Trailhead to hike up to Mt Townsend in the eastern Olympic Mountains, 7 miles round trip with 2,200 ft of overall gain. Gorgeaous day with great views and beautiful wildflowers including Rhodedendrons in bloom off and on for the firts 3/4 mile.
After the trail comes out of the forest on the west side of Mt Townsend, we had great views of the nearby Olympic Peaks. class="separator" style="clear: both;">
After entering the Buckhorn Wilderness, as we headed up the North Peak of Mt Townsend, we could see Mt Baker, Mt Shuksan and Glacier Peak to the northeast.
