We drove to the Carney Trailhead to hike up Superstition Ridge to Superstition Mountain (peak 5057) in the Superstition Wilderness. A tough, but fun hike. So nice to see some wildflowers blooming along the trail! We started up before sunrise and saw some nice color to the west.
As the sun rose, it lit up some of the nearby cliffs.

Still along way to go,
on a very steep trail.
So many beautiful rock formations along the way.
View looking south, we started down there.
The area is green in the winter.

Up on top of the ridge is a rock formation that looks like a T rex

We had some mellow trail for a while,
and more steep sections as we had another ridge to go up.

We stopped about 70' from the very top as I wasn't up for that steep scramble. We had nice views from this spot.
