Nisqually Wildlife Refuge

We stopped at the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge as we were driving south today.
This is the lowest tide I've seen on any of my walks here. We did not see as many birds as I've seen in late fall and winter, but it was a nice walk.

From the end of the boardwalk we could see up to the Narrows Bridge in the far distance.
There were some small birds on the railing. We saw some seagulls and great blue herons flying in the distance.
This is a great place to stretch the legs as a break from a long road trip, very close to I-5.

There were some nice bright pink peas in bloom near the dyke.
couple of birds hanging around the Visitor Center.
