Mazama Ridge Snowshoe

A beautiful warm sunny day today, great time to take a hiking friend on my favorite snowshoe on Mt Rainier: up to Mazama Ridge and a short ways along the Paradise Glacier Trail. 4 miles round trip with about 1,100 ft of overall gain.
From the parking lot at Paradise, we walked down the closed Paradise Valley Road to 4th Crossing. View of Paradise Valley with the Tatoosh Range in the background.
From 4th Crossing, we headed up to Mazama Ridge. View of Mt Rainier and Little Tahoma from atop Mazama Ridge.
Heading up along the Paradise Glacier Trail: Mt Adams and Mt St Helens behind the Tatoosh Range.
Pano from our lunch spot:
Wide angle of Mt Rainier, Little Tahoma and Cowlitz Rocks

We were careful not to get too close to the edge as there were lots of cornices hanging over Stevens Canyon.
Heading back down towards Mazama Ridge, love this view, walking towards the Tatoosh Range

Looking over the Paradise Valley as we neared the Paradise parking area.
